San Fermín is one of Spain’s most famous festivals, held annually in Pamplona from July 6th -14th, known worldwide as The Running of the Bulls (encierro).
The festival originates from Catholic tradition in honor of their patron Saint, St Fermin. Bull fighting occurs daily during the festive days at Plaza de Toros de Pamplona, where many aficionados attend performances by local Matadors. At 8 am each morning thousands run 875 meters before six charging bulls through narrow streets.
